The camp accommodation comprises of fifteen well-appointed tents, each with a full-length bathtub. The tents are separated from the restaurant and bar by a suspension bridge across the Sekenani River, and in such a way to ensure complete privacy.
The public areas are in a large tent-like structure with canvas sides which are rolled up during the day. In the evenings a campfire on the veranda is the focal point for guests who enjoy drinks and exchange stories before dinner. We also have internet access available!
The bar stocks a wide range of international and local brands. The kitchen produces delicious fresh meals with many ingredients harvested from our own organic vegetable garden.
The garden is not only a source of fresh vegetables for our consumption; it serves as an example to our community of what can be grown locally.
Since inception meticulous attention has been paid to maintaining the environment. Each tent was carefully sited such that from no tent can one see any other tent. This approach to privacy has earned Sekenani Camp a reputation for being one of the most romantic destinations and accommodation in the Maasai Mara.
The camp is accessible in five hours by road or a 45 minute flight from Nairobi. We are located about 6 km from the Sekenani Gate.
Sekenani Camp has been recognized by the Eco Tourism Society of Kenya and other environmental agencies for its continuous effort to maintain a pristine environment and to have the minimum possible impact in the course of its operations.
